Darkness Defiance Mudguard Design Competition

Pick up your paint brushes, mobilise your crayons and take a stand against the blight of a dark night.

Over the past couple of years, you may have spent a little longer than usual indoors. We expect that you have completed Netflix and Spotify, learnt to play all of the instruments and read all of the books. And now winter drags on; you look outside and it is still cold, dark, wet and windy. 

So, here's a little light at the end of a long tunnel to brighten your evenings:

The Darkness Defiance Design Competition is your chance to let those creative juices flow, pass some time on a wet, winter evening, and WIN yourself some awesome prizes!

We want you to design a mudguard that sums up your love for mountain biking and the great outdoors, and that really represents your personality.

All designs will be judged by the UCI Elite DH team, The Union, and there's a chance that if they love the design it will make an appearance on their bikes during the 2022 race season. 

The winner will also receive a signed Union jersey, Fort William World Cup tickets, a stack of their competition-winning mudguards to hand out to friends and a HKT Products prize bundle including ayear's supply of brake pads, frameprotection, a chainring and more!

All you have to do is download the mudguard template below and either create your design digitally or print off the template, root out your pencil case and go down the old school path. We've added some logos to this folder for you.
