About Rebel Patch

Limited edition art patches to care for what you wear.

Rebel Patch creates limited edition art patches to repair, upcycle and customise your clothes. We collaborate with artists to bring their work into the streets, while at the same time, combating consumerism and throw away culture by extending the life of clothes.

About The Trash Free Trails Nature Connection collection
For this collaboration we partnered with Hannah Bailey, a photographer focused on outdoor/action sports for societal and environmental good. Her collection of beautiful patterns in nature that she has collected over the years was the perfect fit for this collaborative collection. The Trash Free Trails mission isn’t just to remove single use pollution from our wild spaces, but to go even further than that and restore our connection with nature. By creating a patch collection that shows a variety of wild places from all over the UK that can be used to repair your kit, we can wear our love for the outdoors on our clothes, while at the same time making sure they can be worn for longer. Win-win!

Materials & production
The patches have been sustainably printed onto recycled polyester in the Netherlands and have been cut, overlocked and finished in Bristol, UK.

Application

How to attach an iron on patch

  1. Set iron temperature to maximum (175° for digital irons) and turn off the steam. Place the patch on the area you want to cover.
  2. Lay a piece of parchment paper on top and press firmly onto all corners of the patch for 10 seconds at a time. Important: apply constant pressure, not back and forth motion.
  3. Turn the garment inside out and repeat step 2 from the reverse, this time pressing for 15-20s.
  4. Allow to cool thoroughly and enjoy your patch!

Make sure you check the label of your garment before you apply any heat. We recommend doing a heat test on an inconspicuous area first.

Typically cotton, linen, denim and some polyester based fabrics are suitable.

Don’t put an iron on patch on any fabrics that contain: rayon, nylon, teflon, waterproofed or triacetate fabrics!
